Charles Michel made a statement about the meeting in Brussels

December 15, Fineko/abc.az. On 14 December, President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel made a statement following a trilateral meeting in Brussels with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. 

ABC.AZ reports that the statement says that the EU Council’s president called for the elimination of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the signing of a comprehensive peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia to establish peace in the South Caucasus. Charles Michel stated that the obligations arising from the meetings and statements on 10 November 2020, 11 January and 26 November 2021 (Sochi) must be fulfilled. The statement for the first time included the topic of missing persons on the EU agenda, stressed the need to clarify their fate.
