December 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government has assumed the debt of Azəristiliktəchizat (heat supplier company) to Azəriqaz (national gas supplier) in the amount of more than AZN 34 million, ABC.AZ reports citing Eldaniz Veliyev, the head of the Azəriqaz Public Relations Department (under the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan).

He recalled that negotiations between the management of Azəriqaz and Azəristiliktəchizat took place on 14 November:

"As in a day, that is, on 15 November, there will be transition to winter regime. In this regard, there was a need to supply heat to the homes of citizens. Following the negotiations, Azəriqaz gave a one-week delay to Azəristiliktəchizat for repayment of the formed debt (above AZN 34 million). However, Azəristiliktəchizat estimated AZN 14 million of the debt amount as controversial and insisted on the debt amount of about AZN 20 million. Despite this, Azəriqaz gave a week of delay to the heat supplier."
