New composition of Azerbaijani government

April 23, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has approved the new composition of the country’s government.

In compliance with the presidential order Yagub Eyubov was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister, while Ali Ahmedov, Ali Hasanov and former mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalybov were appointed Deputy Prime Ministers.

Inam Kerimov was appointed the new Agriculture Minister and replaced Heydar Asadov. Previously Kerimov held the position of chairman of the State Agency for Citizen Services & Social Innovations under the Presidential Administration.

Sahil Babayev was appointed Minister of Labor & Social Protection instead of Salim Muslimov. Earliuer Babayev held the position of Deputy Economy Minister. Samir Nuriyev, who previously headed the State Housing Construction Agency, became the chairman of the State Committee for Architecture & Urban Planning. Rovshan Rzayev was assigned the chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees & IDPs.

The head of state also approved Ramil Usubov as Internal Affairs Minister, Parviz Shahbazov as Energy Minister, Fikrat Mammadov as Justice Minister, Kamaleddin Heydarov as Emergency Situations Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov as Foreign Affairs Minister, Shahin Mustafayev as Economy Minister, Samir Sharifov as Finance Minister, Zakir Hasanov as Defence Minister, Ramin Guluzade as Minister of Transport, Communications & High Technology and Mikayil Jabbarov as Tax Minister.

Elchin Guliyev was assigned the head of the Border Service, Madat Guliyev the head of the State Security Service and Orhan Sultanov the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.

Novruz Mammadov, who previously held the position of assistant to the head of state for foreign policy, was appointed the new Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.
