December 17, Fineko/abc.az. Today, at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, Legal Policy & State Construction, as well as the Youth & Sports Committee, the draft amendments to the Tax Code have been submitted for discussion in the 1st reading.

ABC.AZ informs that the amendment exempts from income tax the winnings of up to 500 manats (previously there were 10 manats) in the lottery and sports betting, and also implies regulation from angle of tax legislation of electronic sports betting in a similar legal regime with lotteries.

Another amendment defines operators and sellers of sports betting, as well as lottery organizers and lottery ticket sellers as simplified tax taxpayers, and also clarifies tax rates for taxable objects (operators and organizers - 6% of turnover, sellers - 4% of the commissions they receive). Previously, they paid income tax and profit tax.
