Oil grows in value, and Brent is at $74.04 a barrel

December 22, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are increasing weakly in Wednesday’s trading after a surge following the previous session.

By 9:35 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the February’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.06 (0.08%) up to $74.04 per barrel. Following the trading on 21 December, the price of Brent crude futures for February increased by $2.46 (3.44%) up to $73.98 per barrel.

By 9:35 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for February rose in price by $0.22 (0.31%) up to $71.34 per barrel. Following the trading on 21 December, the price of February’s WTI oil futures grew by $2.51 (3.66%) up to $71.12 per barrel.

According to the American Petroleum Institute, last week oil reserves in the U.S. lowered by 3.67 million barrels.
