A new project connecting Persian Gulf with Black Sea

December 23, Fineko/abc.az. Trial trips have begun along the transit route connecting the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea.

ABC.AZ reports that another regional cooperation platform with the participation of Azerbaijan is being created in the South Caucasus.

So, at present, the first trial movement through the territory of Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia is being carried out along the transit route connecting the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea.

A car caravan consisting of vehicles from three countries will move from Iran's Bilasuvar to Azerbaijan, then to Georgian ports, from there to Bulgaria, and then overland to other Eastern European countries.

The route starts in the Persian Gulf in the south of Iran and continues to Europe. On 22 December, a solemn ceremony of departure of a caravan of vehicles from Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia took place in Tabriz. Today, a car caravan has reached Azerbaijan.

In the future it will be possible to carry out railway cargo transportation through this corridor. Within the project, another route to the west through this corridor will be available to the countries of South Asia.
