Brent crude rises and WTI falls in value

December 27, Fineko/abc.az. The price of Brent crude is increasing and WTI declining in Monday’s trading. The WTI trading was not held on Friday due to the holiday in the U.S.

By 9:33 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the February’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.22 (0.29%) up to $76.36 per barrel. Following the trading on 24 December, the price of Brent crude futures for February decreased by $0.71 (0.92%) to $76.14 per barrel.

By 9:33 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for February fell in price by $0.59 (0.80%) to $73.20 per barrel. On 24 December, the WTI auctions were not conducted because of the holiday in the U.S., the price at the end of trading on 23 December was $73.79 per barrel.
