Quarantine may be tightened if omicron strain spreads widely in Azerbaijan

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. Despite the fact that there are currently no cases of infection with the omicron strain in Azerbaijan, it has been registered in neighboring countries, and the spread to our country is a matter of time.

ABC.AZ reports that First Deputy Minister of Health, Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev stated about thus at today's briefing of the Cabinet’s Operating Staff.

He said that this issue is in the spotlight: "The test results do not reveal the presence of the omicron strain. To date, no infection with this strain has been registered in Azerbaijan."
