A survey reveals little trust in cashless payments in districts

December 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Association of Banks of Azerbaijan jointly with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and international card organization Visa conducted a study of the non-cash payments market in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that for this purpose, focus group discussions and surveys based on quantitative and qualitative research methods were conducted in 10 cities and districts, the Agency reports.

It was established that there is little trust in non-cash payments in the districts of the country. People are concerned about cases of loss of cards, theft or debiting of funds, fraud. Along with this, the survey established the absence of a commission for using the card, the expectation of providing access to credit funds, the provision of remuneration offers for payment (cash back) and loyalty programs. During the meeting the results of the investigation were discussed in detail and answers were given to questions from representatives of the bank.
