December 30, Fineko/abc.az. A new task is being determined for telecommunications operators and providers.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the draft amendments to the Law on Telecommunications, endorsed today by President Ilham Aliyev.

Under the draft amendments, the duties of telecommunications operators and providers now include the measures aimed at preventing the sale of tickets for gambling through telecommunications services, organizing and conducting these games, as well as preventing the organizers from entering the virtual space from the territory of the country of foreign lotteries and sweepstakes operators, sellers of foreign sweepstakes from the territory of the country in accordance with the procedure established by the body (organization) determined by the relevant executive authority.
