Mikail Jabbarov: We expect significant decline of dependence on oil revenues

January 5, Fineko/abc.az. The 10-member PM-led workgroup has prepared and submitted the Draft Strategy for 2022-26 based on national priorities, ABC.AZ reports citing Education Minister Mikail Jabbarov.

According to the minister, with the purpose to increase the pace of economic growth within the framework of the Strategy, it is planned to form a growth model that creates high added value, aimed at significantly reducing dependence on oil revenues: “If the draft of the new strategy is successfully implemented, the average annual GDP growth rate in the country in 2022-2026 will be 3.9%, including in the non-oil sector - 5%, and this will increase nominal GDP per capita by 1.3 times."
