Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves exceed $52 bn

January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves totaled $52.1 bn as of 1 January 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that 86.4% or $45.025 bn accounted for the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) and 13.6% or $7.075.4 million for the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

In the 4th quarter of 2021, country’s foreign exchange reserves grew by $840.3 million or 1.6%.

SOFAZ's foreign exchange reserves increased by $798.7 million, or 1.8%, while CBA's ones by $41.6 million, or 0.6% for Q4 of last year.

In 2021, Azerbaijan’s currency reserves grew by $2.17 bn, or 4.3%.

SOFAZ's currency reserves rose by $1.46 bn, or 3.4% and CBA's ones by $706 million, or 11.1% for 2021.
