January 31, Fineko/abc.az. The locomotive depot of Azerbaijan Railways was put into operation in Ganja on 30 January.

ABC.AZ reports that the event was attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The next project implemented within the framework of the fourth regional development program is the Ganja Locomotive Depot. Maintenance and repair of AC electric locomotives will be carried out in the new depot.

Along with the Balajar Locomotive Depot, which was opened in November 2021, the Ganja depot was built with the joint financing of the Government of Azerbaijan and the French Development Agency. The head of state launched the depot. It was reported that there is a two-storey platform in the area of major repairs, which allows 6 locomotives to be serviced simultaneously.
