February 4, Fineko/abc.az. A suspension bridge across the Agsuchay River is being built on the 4.5-km highway Muganli-Ismayilli-Gabala.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Anar Najafli, the press secretary of the Azerbaijan State Motor Road Agency.

According to Najafli, work is also underway at the entrance to the tunnel, which is located on the road behind the bridge.

As a result of the reconstruction, the length of the Muganli-Ismayilli-Gabala road will be reduced by 9.7 km to 76.8 km.

The existing two-lane road will be expanded to four lanes. A suspension bridge with length of 1,135 m (the longest in Azerbaijan) across the Agsuchay River and a tunnel with length of 865 m are being built on it.
