Finnish railway company has delayed hundreds of freight trains from Russia

March 11, Fineko/abc.az. Finnish state railway company VR has stopped hundreds of freight cars from Russia in different cities of the country because of suspicions that they may carry cargo that has fallen under EU sanctions, ABC.AZ reports with reference to TV company Yule.

"At the moment we’re discussing with customers and various stakeholders what to do with them [cargoes]," VR commerce director for transport Elias Koistinen told Yule.

According to the TV company, the Finnish side also checked the cargo going to Russia for whether there were technologies among them that were under sanctions.
