May 13, Fineko/abc.az. UAE president Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has died.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born in 1948 in the oasis of Al Ain in the UAE. The eldest son of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first president of the UAE, and his wife Hissa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Belongs to the tribe of Bani Yas, which forms the basis of the tribal union of the same name.

According to Forbes magazine, Al Nahyan was one of the richest people in the world with a fortune of $15 bn. And his family's fortune is estimated at $150 bn.

He also managed the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
