Central Bank’s assets observed growth for 2021

Central Bank's net loss for 2021 was caused by decrease in interest income, net loss from the revaluation of securities, external loss from the sale of securities and net loss from the revaluation of foreign exchange positions, ABC.AZ informs with reference to CBA’s finance report.

Thus, CBA’s retained earnings reached AZN 596.9 million at the end of 2020 and AZN 183.26 million at the end of 2021. The reduction by AZN 412.746 million is linked with the transfer of AZN 250 million to the State Budget, and AZN 162.746 million – with net loss in 2021.

CBA’s overall assets for 2021 (versus 2020) observed growth of AZN 924.598 million, or 3.6% to AZN 26.4 bn.
