Inflation exceeds 9% in UK


May 18, Fineko/ The consumer price index (inflation index) in the UK increased by 9% for April 2022 against April 2021.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that the growth coincided with the forecast of economists.

So, their forecast was in the direction of 9.1%.

For comparison: country’s annual inflation was 7% in March.

The increase in consumer prices in April was recorded as the highest growth in the last 40 years.

In April, monthly inflation in the country was 2.5%. Expectations for this information were 2.5%.
