Comparative report: Trips by taxi fall and by bus grow

May 18, Fineko/abc.az. 420.2 million passengers were carried by road in Azerbaijan for Jan-Apr 2022 (growth of 18.4% against Jan-Apr 2021), ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.

94.8% of passengers used buses and 5.2% - minibuses. The passenger turnover increased by 19.1%.

The number of metro user passengers reached 63.5 million people.

463,700 passengers (2.6-fold more) were transported by air.

99.8% of transportation was carried out by state-owned enterprises and 0.2% by private enterprises.

Compared with 2021, the number of bus passengers grew by 21.9% and the number of taxi user people declined by 22.9%.
