Chinese cars to be produced under Moskvich brand

May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Kamaz plans to localize the production of Chinese cars at the vacated facilities of the Renault Moscow plant in Russia.

ABC.AZ reports that the launch of production is planned no later than the 4th quarter of 2022 with cars with internal combustion engine, and then switch to electric vehicles.

Kamaz is negotiating with its current partner, JAC carmaker. At that, the Moscow authorities are working on cooperation with another Chinese automaker, but it is not known which one.

A fundamental decision on the model for production has not yet been made.
