Russia permits selling all foreign currencies except US dollar and euro


May 20, Fineko/ The Central Bank of Russia has allowed the sale of all cash foreign currencies in the country, except for the US dollar and euro, for cash.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that the Russian Central Bank made the relevant statement.

Starting from 20 May, individuals can sell all foreign currency in banks without restrictions, except euros and dollars.

The procedure will last until 9 September.

The financial institution explained the issuance of a permit for the unlimited sale of currency, except for the US dollar and euro, by the presence of foreign banknote balances in banks.
