May 23, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev is paying an official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium at the invitation of Charles Michel, President of the Council of the European Union.

ABC.AZ reports that the Azerbaijani leader had a one-on-one meeting with the EU Council’s president.

At the meeting President Aliyev highly appreciated Charles Michel's support for the preparation of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, normalization of two countries’ relations, opening of transport corridors, delimitation and demarcation of borders.

The country’s head of state stressed that Azerbaijan has presented 5 principles based on international law for the normalization of relations and the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and these principles play the main role in the preparation of a peace treaty.
