Azerbaijani billionaire has lost his property for 100 million euro


May 26, Fineko/ Because of sanctions, Azerbaijani-born billionaire Vagit Alekperov lost his property in the Netherlands, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Russian bureau Forbes.

It was noted that Alekperov transferred the shares of ‘Heesen Yachts’ (ship repair & construction enterprise) to an independent Dutch fund. It is not yet known on what terms this enterprise will be transferred to the fund.

According to company’s official website, since 18 May the company is again fully owned by the Netherlands.

Alekperov acquired Heesen Yachts in 2008 for 100 million euro. Two yachts of the Lukoil co-founder himself were built here.
