WB: Poverty in Armenia to grow by 7% in 2021

June 9, Fineko/abc.az. According to the UN World Food Program's "Hunger Map", about 500,000 people in Armenia are undernourished.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the organization, the number of people suffering from malnutrition has increased by 70,000 over the past month.

The map shows that about 4.4% of children under 5 in the country suffer from acute and 9.4% from chronic malnutrition.

According to the WB, poverty in Armenia will increase by 7% in 2021. In 2020, it was 27%. The population of Armenia is 3 million.
