MP: Difficulties in global economy are manifested in shortage in the food market

June 10, Fineko/abc.az. International financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD), have stated about slowdown in global economic growth. Announcing a drop in the percentage of global economic growth in the coming months, the IMF predicts that the global economy will grow by 3.6% in 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that Vugar Bayramov, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

He emphasized that the global economy grew by 5.7% last year.

WB and OECD express a more pessimistic point of view in this regard. In 2022, the WB forecasts growth of 2.9% and OECD – 3.0%. The expectations of both organizations for the next half of the year are not optimistic.

He added that difficulties in the global economy are also manifested in shortages and rising prices in the food market.
