June 10, Fineko/abc.az. Until 10 June, silkworms delivered 157 tons of raw cocoon to the supply points.

ABC.AZ reports that most of the cocoon deliveries were carried out in Zardab district.

Silk growers of Zardab district transferred 48 tons 380 kg of raw cocoon to the supply points. Agjabedi (16 tons 963 kg), Balaken (14 tons 496 kg), Barda (9 tons 743 kg), Fizuli (9 tons 205 kg), Kurdam (6 tons 952 kg) districts are in the lead on product supplies. The production of raw cocoon is subsidized by the state.

Since this year the amount of subsidies provided by the state for the supply of raw cocoon and the purchase price of products have been increased. Silk growers hand over a raw cocoon to Azeripek LLC at 5 manats per kg.

The state additionally pays farmers a subsidy of 6 manats for each kilogram of raw cocoon. In total, the farmer receives 11 mandates for each kilogram of the raw cocoon he transfers.
