Macron: Russia does not agree to export grain from Ukrainian port of Odessa

17:29 - 17.06.2022

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. French President Emmanuel Macron said he considers an agreement between Ukraine and Russia on the export of grain from the port of Odessa impossible, but negotiations are underway on the reuse of the Danube River from the railways stretching from Odessa to Romania.

ABC.AZ reports that returning from a trip to Kiev, Macron said: "We’re ready for negotiations with Russia on food security, we need to take grain out of Odessa."

He added that for security guarantees, this conversation can be held with the UN Secretary-General.

"But I don't really believe in this path, as I already had talks a few weeks ago with President Putin, but he didn't want to adopt a UN resolution on this topic," Macron said.
