Veterinary passport not to be required

June 22, Fineko/abc.az. From now on, Azerbaijan will not require obtaining of a veterinary passport.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the changes, only an identity card will be issued as a result of identification.

Under the previous rules, each animal or group of animals had to be identified, and as a result of identification, the owner of the animal had to be issued a “veterinary passport” and “identification certificate".

A veterinary passport will be issued only at the request of the owner of the animal and in accord with Paragraph 1.5 of the Rules for keeping dogs, cats or other pets in populated areas when exporting pets abroad.
