Quantity of payment cards in circulation unveiled

June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation in Azerbaijan has exceeded 12 million cards for the first time.

Compared with April, the quantity of payment cards in May grew by 118,000 cards up to 12.19 million cards, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

In addition, in May, the number of social cards declined by 57,000 cards to 3.45 million cards, the number of salary cards grew by 3,000 cards to 2.65 million, other debit cards increased by 168,000 cards up to 4.39 million, and the number of credit cards by 5,000 cards up to 1.526 million.
