Meta closes pilot crypto project Novi

July 4, Fineko/abc.az. American corporation Meta has decided to close the Novi crypto project.

ABC.AZ reports that since 21 July the customers will not be able to replenish their accounts.

The company will "try to transfer" the money remaining on users' accounts after 1 September to bank accounts and cards linked to accounts.

The blockchain technologies used in the development of the crypto wallet are planned to be used in the metaverse.

In October 2021, Facebook rebranded to focus on the development of the metaverse.
