July 8, Fineko/abc.az. President of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) Jahangir Askerov met with Qatar's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Hinzab.

ABC.AZ was informed at AZAL that the issues of further cooperation were discussed at the meeting in order to strengthen the successful partnership in the field of civil aviation between the two countries.

"Today, Qatar Airways operates seven flights a week in the direction of Doha - Baku - Doha. Also, during the World Cup to be held in Qatar in November and December this year, an increase in the number of weekly flights of the air carrier via this route is expected," Askerov emphasized.

Ambassador Al Hinzab expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation will continue to develop and positively affect the strengthening of business and tourism ties between the countries.
