Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government is scarcely probable to stop on creation of strategic reserve in the Grain Fund to be run by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Well-informed sources say that the government is considering prospects of creation of enlarged fund of strategic food reserves for the purpose to ensure food security.

“The list of foods for strategic reservation (security basket) will compose 6-7 commodity items, including for example butter, and tinned meat. And the priority will be given to domestic products that will demand improvement of their quality,” a source said.

Just recently the government has created an executive mechanism to form Grain Fund.
