Heydar Aliyev Central Museum prepared to open in Baku
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Today construction of the Heydar Aliyev Central Museum has been ssfinished practically in Baku.
The Central Museum is located in Yasamal district at Metbuat avenue. Construction works on outside structure have already been completed.
At the same time, in September 2007, the foundation laying ceremony of the complex of Heydar Aliyev Centre took place in Narimanov district of Baku city.
Heydar Aliyev Centre will have a conference hall designed for 1,284 persons, equipped with modern technologies, a museum, broad saloons, a lobby and a library. Zaha Hadid, author of the project and architect and representatives of DIA Holding submitted the head of the state more detailed information on the project.
Total area of the Complex will occupy 9 ha territory. Landscape in front of elevation of the building will be an ideal place for rest. There will be a park with playing grounds, escalators and modern lighting systems. Appearance of Heydar Aliyev Center built by Turkish DIA Holding will be the only in its way. Entrance into the museum and conference hall will be seen from Heydar Aliyev Avenue. 1,350–place parking will be in the Complex’s underground part. The conference hall will have 20, 500 sq.m. area and 22 m height. Front side of movable scene will have 7-14 m height and 315 sq.m. area.
After studying of details foundation construction ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Center was held.
Construction of the Complex will be completed in 2 years. The project is being prepared by Zaha Hadid Architects (UK).
