Baku, Fineko/abc.az. A news conference of Chairman of the Azerbaijani People’s Socialist Party (APSP) Rovshan Huseynov took place in Baku today.

R. Huseynov said that admittance of left-wing parties for public speaking on TV is limited in Azerbaijan today.

«Presently,  the process of coverage of  left-wing parties’ positions worsened seriously in the country. This implies  that opinions and positions of such parties are not interesting or merely frighten the public. We want that time will be given for us on the TV channels, where we will be able to speak from our points of view. Otherwise, we will have to deliver a speech  in pickets and rallies, although we do not support such measures,” R. Huseynov said.

According to him, the channels weakens public consciousness and  create conditions for  radicalization of the opposition.

In particular,  indifferent position of the Public Television Channel was criticized. The channel  should  create conditions  for presentation of different points of view, capable to cause public interest, does not do it in practice.

Due to dissatisfaction of the party, APSP  appealed to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and leaders of television channels of the country.
