Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies is compelled to take away from a cable company frequencies for development of 3G services in the country.

Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said that rendering of 3G services   in Azerbaijan delayed over certain problems.

“3G technology requires the selection of the special radio frequencies. But, when the world did not know about these technologies as yet, in Azerbaijan the frequency for 3G were used for broadcasting of cable television by BBTV company. The conditions were made before the company now that it should free the frequencies. As it is known, Azerfon intends to start rendering  3G services  in December. Azercell will also launch to render the services some day,” minister said.
