Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Association of Risk Professionals of Azerbaijan (ARPA) holds the 1st meeting of board of trustees.

ARPA President and founder Rufat Makhmud says that the 1st meeting of the board will be held on December 15.

“Strategic plan of ARPA is planned to be under discussion at the meeting. The task of the today’s meeting is to represent the report of an executive body before trustees, to submit three basic documents of the association, it is regulations on the board of trustees, the regulations on the board of directors and policy of membership,” R. Makhmud said.

Presently, board of trustees is headed by Chief of Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Rashad Orujev. The board also included Deputy CEO of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) Emil Mammadov, a representative of Islamic Development Bank (IDB)  Tamerlan Tagiyev, Chief of Investment Department  of Azerenerji Raphael Abbasov. Representatives of other banks and international organizations were invited as well. The association will have ten trustees at the first stage, but their number is not limited.

ARPA was established in May 2009. The major direction of the organization’s activity is improvement of the level of knowledge of financial institutions and companies on risk management.

The association has already launched cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), CBA and GARP.
