Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government plans to build the largest stadium in the country’s capital.

On December 28, Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov said at a news conference that the place for construction of the new stadium for 60,000 seats is defined.

“It will be built nearby Beyuk-Shor lake in the neighborhood of new swimming pool. Presently, oil-contaminated building site of new stadium is cleared,”  A. Rahimov said.

For the time being, the largest stadium of the country, named after T. Bakhramov, is for 37,000 seats.
