Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) renewed statistical data on Azerbaijani oil export via the major pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev.
SOCAR informs that 2.8 million tons of Azeri oil was delivered via BTC to Turkey’s Ceyhan port in December.
“In 2009, transportation totaled 36.2 million tons,” SOCAR said.
From start of the BTC exploitation in mid-2006 to 1st January 2009 106.5 million tons were supplied via BTC to Ceyhan.
BTC transportation in March reached totaled 3.1 million tons, in April a little less than 3 million tons, in May 3.3 million tons, in June 3.3 million, in July 3.193 million tons, in August 3.28 million tons, in September 3.07 million tons, in October 3.2 million tons and in November 2.9 million tons.
For comparison: in December shipment from Ceyhan port made up 2.8 million tons and over 2009 - 36.3 million tons. From the start of BTC operation to 1st January 2010 export from Ceyhan totaled 104.7 million tons.
