A new car factory opens in Azerbaijan

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. A new car factory constructed in the exclave Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan has started producing output.

The head of Ganja motor works Khanlar Fatiyev says that with the opening of the new automobile enterprise it was opened a new page in the history of development of not only NAR, but also Azerbaijan as a whole.

The new car factory was created 50 jobs with average monthly salary of 250 manats. The enterprise has production capacity of 4,000-5,000 automobiles a year. The factory will assemble four models of NAZ Lifan automobile.

The prices for cars will range 7,500 up to 12,700 manats. It is planned that new cars will not only meet needs of NAR residents but will also be exported abroad that will promote to NAR budget increase.

Last year a cooperation agreement between the Ganja motor works and China’s automobile corporation Lifan was signed at the Azerbaijan-China Business Forum organized within the first session of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission in Beijing.

Earlier motor plant Azsamand (automobile producer) and Ganja motor works (trucks and tractors were opened in Azerbaijan.
