Azerbaijan accomplishes first expedition to Andes
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani expedition group, headed by president of Air and Extreme Sports Federation Huseyn Bagirov ended its first expedition to the Andes (Argentine).
The federation informed that the expedition implemented the scientific-geological program on the unique geology of Aconcagua Mountain and program on biological diversity of South America by the example of Argentine mountainous areas .
The expedition erected the Azerbaijani state flag in the peak of Aconcagua (6,962 m).
The expedition is going to return to Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Azerbaijan accomplished similar expeditions to Africa (Kilimanjaro mountain) and Antarctica.
