Six moorings built in Baku dry-cargo port station
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On January 14, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev got familiarized with construction work in dry-cargo port station, which is being built in Baku bay. Building work has been started in May, 2008. According to orders of president, funds will be allocated from the state budget for implementation of the project. The main aim of building of the facility is environmental improvement, transferal of the industrial enterprises from the centre of capital and increase of volume of cargo transportation from Azerbaijan. By now construction of six moorings for unloading of dry cargo has been finished in the port station. Four moorings for washing and clearing of vessels, which will stay for repair, are prepared now. Building of numerous warehouses for storage of cargo is finished as well. The railway, laid to the station, is in operative condition. In order to transfer a part of shipyard named after Paris Commune, a mooring 250 long, to which four vessels can go alongside, is being built. Construction work of an administrative building is close to completion and finishing work is carried out in the port station. On January 14, I. Aliyev got familiarized with reconstruction of Yakht-club in Seacoast National Park. Presently, in accordance with the project of reconstruction the territory of Yakht-club expands as well.
