Baku, Fineko/abc.az. On January 22, final reporting meeting took place. The meeting was dedicated to activity of Culture and Tourism Administration of Baku city, as well as cultural and educational establishments at the administration for 2009.

Chief of Culture and Tourism Administration of Baku city Alikram Aliyev said that the  administration focused its  activity in 2009 on fulfillment  of all targets  and obligations, put by the government in culture sphere.

“The administration fulfilled all orders and decrees in due time of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and executive power of Baku city of, paid particular attention to preservation and strengthening of material and technical base of cultural establishments, as well as carrying out of city scale events,” A. Aliyev said.

Over last year the administration and entering into its structure 185 cultural and educational establishments organized cultural and large scale events and  events, dedicated to the holidays and historical events.

“Over 2009 the book fund of the libraries, registered in table of the administration, made 4,542,600 samples, and the number of readers totaled 391,000 persons. 43 events were carried out and 14,363 excursions were  organized in the museums,”  A. Aliyev said.

In addition, participants of the event noted that seven Internet sites for the museums and for one library were created over last year.
