Food selling outlets fined for lack of certificates in Azerbaijan
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. State Control Territorial Department #1 of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology & Patents of Azerbaijan revealed a series of breaches of the Law on Trade of Food Products. The Committee reports that in the course of checks they found out that Marko Ltd failed to apply the requirements of National Certification System AZS for imported sunflower oil and sausage and sold commodities without certification and marking. “In this connection sales of this batch of goods was put under ban and sanctions for 4,000 manats were applied,” it was informed. Similar problems were revealed in food sales outlets belonging to sole entrepreneurs and ADA Ticaret (supermarket network Almali) which sold uncertified sponge cakes with custard and oriental sweets and that is why was also fined for 4,000 manats.
