In 2009 reserve money in Azerbaijan reduced by 1.13%
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reports that extended money basis was observed decline of 1.13% for the past year against growth of 44.27% for 2008. The Bank reports that volume of reserve money by 1st January 2010 totaled AZN 4.907 bn against AZN 4.36 bn by 1st December, AZN 4.214 bn by 1 November, AZN 4.18 bn by 1st October, AZN 4.233 bn by 1st September, AZN 417 bn by 1st August, AZN 3.935 bn by 1st July and 4.96 bn by early 2009. By 1st January 2010 money basis in manats amounted to AZN 4.86 bn versus AZN 4.337 bn by 1st December, AZN 4.193 bn by 1st November, AZN 4.17 bn by 1st October, AZN 4.172 bn by 1st September, AZN 4.129 bn by 1st August, AZN 3.88 bn by 1st July and 4.78 bn by 1st January of 2009. In 2009, it rose by 1.7%. At the same time if not to take seasonal factors (AZN 4.35 bn) this year money basis increased by 1.1% versus the 2008 index. The level of bank reserves decreased since early 2009 by 27.1% versus the 2008 figure. It is linked with reduction of norms of reserving. As of 1st January 2010 exchange rate was AZN 0.8031 to the US dollar.
