Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank Group (WBG) and the Azerbaijani State Procurement Agency (ASPA) are planning to hold  event for doing business for business community in Baku on February 12, 2010.

WBG informed that the event is intended for companies, firms and individual consultants, willing to participate in the tenders, financed through loans of the World Bank (WB).

The workshop will be jointly chaired and led by Iskandar Chandirli, Chairman of ASPA and Devesh Mishra, Regional Procurement Manager of Europe and Central Asia.

The following topics will be discussed during the workshop:

•        Introduction in practice  of the ASPA

•        New opportunities for participation in tender processes of WBG

•        Presentation by the representative from the WB Integrity Department

•        Participants will have the opportunity to express questions to representatives of the Azerbaijan State Procurement Agency and of the World Bank at tables organized for this purpose.

•        Presentation on E-Procurement

•        Presentation on regional procurement experience

The event is planned from 09:30 to 16:00.
