Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The national semifinal of six candidates claiming to represent Azerbaijan in Eurovision-2010 in Oslo, Norway, this May has been conducted in Baku.

The Baku City Tourism & Culture Department reports that band Milk&Kisses, Safura Alizadeh and Maryam Shabanova got in the final of the national selection in accord with the concert jury’s decision.

“On 25 February, it will be known who will represent Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2010,” it was reported.

The jury composed Ismail Omarov (general director of Ictimayi Televiziyasi (Public Television & Radio Broadcasting Company) which is the Azerbaijan National Broadcasting Council on Eurovision) Farkhad Badalbeyli (rector of Baku Musical Academy, Murad Adigezalzadeh (director of Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall), Lala Kazimova (president of Azerbaijan National Committee of International Musical Council, Azad Aliyev (conductor), Menzer Nuraliyeva (representative of the Ministry of Culture & Tourism), Farkhad Hajiyev (representative of Ministry of Youth& Sports).

In 2009, Azerbaijan held the second place in Eurovision contest thanks to duet of Aysel and Arash.
