Baku airport closed earlier for strong snowfall has resumed its work

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani capital is coming out gradually from the knockdown hit by a snowfall with abrupt wind started past night.

The press service of close joint stock company Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has announced of resumption of work of the Baku International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev which closed earlier because of difficult weather conditions.

AZAL reports that planes of airlines Aeroflot, Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines have been already carrying out flights in the Baku port. Planes are also preparing to depart for Dubai and Tehran.

The Meteorological Service of the Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources informs that snow in Baku is still falling, air temperature is -0.20C, speed of northern wind reaches 13 m/sec. Such weather conditions are expected before the end of week.
