Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies starts finding out problems of Internet and users

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has begun work to prepare  plan of expansion of infrastructure of the broadband Internet.

Chief of information society development department Rufat Gulmammadov said that at present  the ministry studies problems, and the plan to overcome these problems will be  made then.

“We put concrete terms for making of the plan, but we wish to finish and present quicker to minister. It will be the internal document. The plan intends revealing of problems and their resolving  concerning  development of the broadband Internet, where problems of infrastructure, subscribers, price will be touched upon,” R. Gulmammadov said.

Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said before in the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that major aim of the Ministry in 2010   is to develop and modernize ICT infrastructure, ensure citizens’ access to information about activity of governmental agencies, ICT introduction at all levels of state governance, development of ICT products and services and rise of their export potential, attraction of foreign investors, promotion of bank and financial services, development of e-commerce and online- public health.
