Baku, Fineko/abc.az. A fire has occurred on the territory of Dashkesan enterprise on forest protection & restoration.

The Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources of Azerbaijan reports that the fire covered 0.75 hectares of the territory, but it did not cause grave damage to the forest fund.

“The fire was prevented with help of operative measures taken by villagers and staff of the enterprise,” the Ministry said.

According to primary data, the cause of the fire was a cigarette butt discarded by hunters.

In connection with windy weather in the country over the last few days the Ministry appeals the population to be more careful with fire for keeping forests and greenery.
