Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Information & Computer Centre of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan continues work  Azdatacom network expansion.

The Ministry reports that in the first quarter of 2011 Azdatacom network covered Kurdamir, Naftalan, Hajigabul, Gakh, Sheki, Zagatala, Balaken, Oguz, Mingachevir and settlement Bina (Automatic Telephone Exchange 456), and thus the number of regions connected to the network reached 27.

In parallel, connection of the second branch of fiber optic cable in the direction of Lerik-Yardimli to Azdatacom network is underway. To date, 424 private users and 837 organizations have been connected to the network.

The ICC forecasts significant growth in revenues from Azdatacom network before the end of 2011. In particular, it will grow from 120,000 up to 200,000 manats.
